| Questa fontana si trova all’inizio della scalinata che porta all’Ara Pacis (vedi wiipedia).
La “fontana” è in realtà un velo d’acqua che sfiora i bassi muretti ai lati e sullo sfondo della finta roccia che decora il muro di confine con il lungotevere. Nelle intenzioni l’architetto Meyer la fontana con i suoi 16 zampilli rappresenta una “barriera visiva e sonora” tra la nuova piazza e il traffico del lungotevere. P.S. This fountain is located at the beginning of the stairs leading to the Ara Pacis (see wikipedia).
The “Fountain” is actually a veil of water that touches the low walls at the sides and against the backdrop of the feint decorates the wall rock that border the lungotevere.
