Africa? Amazzonia?
No, siamo sempre a Roma. Anzi, siamo di fronte alla Dea Roma, il cui volto è raffigurato in questa fontana (ormai in disuso). Se attraversate il Ponte del Risorgimento in direzione Viale Mazzini, ve la troverete all’improvviso di fronte, con quello sgauardo enigmatico e un po’ inquietante. L’imponente fontana (sei metri d’altezza per oltre 100 Kg di peso) è opera del famoso artista polacco Igor Mitora. Una tempo l’acqua scendeva copiosa sulla sua faccia, ma oggi al Dea Roma è abbandonata a se stessa e non ha più neanche le lacrime per piangere… P.S. ho acquistato un Nikkor 55-300! No, we’re still in Rome. Indeed, we are in front of the goddess Rome, whose face is depicted in this fountain (now abandoned). If you cross the “Bridge of the Renaissance” in the direction of Viale Mazzini, I will find suddenly in front, with that look enigmatic and a little ‘disturbing. The impressive fountain (six metrei height of more than 100 kg in weight) is made by the famous Polish artist Igor Mitora. Long ago, the water went down copious on his face, but today the goddess Roma is abandoned to itself and no longer even tears to cry … P.S. I bought a Nikkor 55-300!
