| Una falsa credenza vuole che in tempi passati Piazza Navona (vedi altro post) venisse allagata per far svolgere della battaglie navali. Nella realtà, dal 23 giugno 1652 fino al 1866, durante i sabato e le domenica di agosto venivamo chiusi gli scarichi delle tre fontane. La forma concava della piazza faceva si che si venisse a creare un lago, con somma gioia dei romani che potevano sguazzarci dentro. Ancora oggi, Piazza Navona è una delle piazze più frequentate di Roma. Credo sia anche la piazza con la maggior concentrazione di artisti di strada. Vi aspetto Lunedì per il Monday Night Shot! |
A false belief has it that in the past Piazza Navona (see other post) was flooded in order to carry out the naval battles.
In reality, from 23 June 1652 until 1866, during the Saturday and Sunday of August were closed discharges of the three fountains. The concave shape of the square was that they were to create a Lake, with great joy of the Romans, who could wallow in it. Even today, Piazza Navona is one of the busiest squares of Rome.
