| A Piazza del Popolo, nella parte opposta rispetto alla fontana della Dea Roma, ce n’è un’altra dedicata al dio Nettuno. Come vedete nella foto, il sovrano dei mari è raffigurato con il tridente nella mano destra, e ai suoi piedi si trovano due tritoni appoggiati a delfini. Giovanni Ceccarini (c. 1790-1861) è l’autore della scultura realizzata da un disegno di Giuseppe Valadier. Vi aspetto domani per il primo Monday night Shot! |
In Piazza del Popolo, on the opposite side of the fountain of the goddess Roma, there is another dedicated to the God Neptune. As you can see in the photo, the sovereign of the seas is depicted with the Trident in the right hand, and to his feet there are two Tritons resting on dolphins. Giovanni Ceccarini (c. 1790-1861) is the author of the sculpture made from a drawing by Giuseppe Valadier. See you tomorrow for the first Monday night Shot! |
